What Drives Me
This isn't just volunteer work, it's the heartbeat of my mission. As a non-binary professional who navigated spaces not built for me, I understand the profound difference it makes when someone sees you, believes in you, and creates space for you. That's why I've dedicated countless years to mentoring student entrepreneurs, creating safe spaces, and now, as a new member of the Dublin community, facilitating Friday Sapphic Socials with Outhouse and supporting their annual Arthouse fundraiser.

Many are surprised that within weeks of moving to Ireland, my first instinct was to find a new community to serve. But for me, giving back is how I fill my own cup; it’s the way I build bridges, find belonging, and express profound gratitude for the communities I join. This work, whether in Louisiana or Dublin, fuels everything I do, reminding me daily that we truly do more together, and that the most powerful ecosystems are built on a foundation of mutual support and shared humanity.
Outhouse
Volunteer | Sep 2025 - Present

As a facilitator for Outhouse Dublin's Friday Sapphic Socials, I create and hold space for connection every week from 5-8 PM. My role goes beyond just leading conversations, I actively welcome new members, ensuring they feel seen and included from the moment they arrive, and intentionally introduce them to others in the community. This commitment to building belonging extends to Outhouse's major events: during Culture Night, I helped create an interactive art installation that invited community participation, and for their annual Artspace fundraiser, I managed both the technical backend, streamlining the auction spreadsheet and systems, and the physical work of moving and packing art after the sale. This winter, I'm expanding my support further by developing a comprehensive archival system for the organization. For me, showing up means doing both the visible work of facilitation and the essential 'grunt work' behind the scenes, because true community building requires all of it.
LSUS Pilot Pitch
Mentor/Coach | Sep 2022 - Present
As a mentor for the LSUS Pilot Pitch Competition, I served as a dedicated coach and strategic partner for up to 10 college entrepreneurs each semester. My role extended beyond casual advice—I designed and led workshops on market research and financial modeling, while providing intensive one-on-one sessions to transform raw ideas into compelling, viable business pitches. I guided students through every layer of development: refining their business models, strengthening their narratives, and polishing their delivery. To bridge the gap between practice and performance, I organized realistic mock pitch sessions that simulated the pressure of competition, building not just their skills but their core confidence. This process was a powerful demonstration of my belief that great entrepreneurs aren't just born—they're built through supportive, hands-on guidance and a space where they can safely learn, iterate, and ultimately, shine.

Shrevepride
Board Member and Coordinator | Aug 2022 - Jul 2025
As a Board Member and Coordinator for Shrevepride, I took complete ownership of bringing our community's vision to life for major events like Field Gay, Quest, and Q-Prom. My role was a true full-spectrum leadership position: I developed the strategy and managed the budgets, then rolled up my sleeves to execute it. This meant not only designing the promotional campaigns and securing crucial sponsorships but also orchestrating teams of volunteers, coordinating with vendors, and doing the physical work of transforming empty spaces into vibrant, welcoming celebrations. Every flyer I designed, every sponsor I secured, and every chair I set up was driven by a single goal: to create visible, vibrant, and vital spaces where our community could thrive.
Junior Achievement
Mentor | Jan 2022 - May 2025
As a mentor with Junior Achievement, I had the privilege of guiding the next generation of entrepreneurs from initial concept to competition-ready pitches. I didn't just teach students about lean canvas, business modeling, and financial projections, I empowered them to believe in their own ideas. My role involved providing continuous, hands-on support to refine their business concepts, sharpen their presentations, and build the confidence to present their vision on a statewide stage. On competition day, I was their coach and tech-support, ensuring they could navigate the high-pressure environment and focus on sharing their brilliance. This experience is at the core of my belief that everyone, regardless of background, deserves a champion in their corner to help transform their ambition into achievement.

Pelican Cup State Pitch Competition
Judge | Feb 2024 - Apr 2024
Serving as a judge for the Pelican Cup State Competition placed me at the strategic heart of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, tasked with evaluating the viability and potential of 15 aspiring ventures. This role required more than just assessment; it involved careful deliberation with fellow judges to weigh the strengths, weaknesses, and real-world feasibility of each business plan. I participated in the critical final decision-making process to select the most promising teams to advance, directly influencing which entrepreneurs were granted a chance to secure $50,000 in funding. It was a profound responsibility that honed my ability to identify scalable, impactful ideas and reinforced my commitment to stewarding resources toward the ventures that promise the greatest growth and innovation for our community.
Sum of Us Festival
Zone Manager | Jan 2023 - Sep 2023
As a Zone Manager for the Sum of Us Festival, a holistic wellness retreat for queer women in California, I had the honor of helping cultivate an intentional space where community, healing, and celebration converged. While coordinating with fellow zone managers to maintain the festival's seamless organization, I took ownership of curating the attendee experience within my designated area, supervising volunteer teams and addressing needs with both efficiency and empathy. My role was to ensure that every participant felt safe, informed, and fully immersed in the transformative atmosphere. This experience deepened my understanding of how intentional event design and compassionate leadership can create spaces where marginalized communities don't just gather, they flourish.

Out of the Closet
Volunteer | Oct 2021 - Jun 2023
At Out of the Closet, I helped bridge the gap between need and access by supporting pop-up events that provided free gender-affirming clothing to our community. My role involved everything from hands-on setup to community outreach, personally welcoming attendees and coordinating with local partners to host our pop-up booths. This work centered on a simple but profound truth: that something as fundamental as clothing can be a powerful tool for validation, and everyone deserves that opportunity to feel at home in their own skin.
